Achraf Hakimi at Paris Saint-Germain, Brahim Díaz, Yassine Bounou, Noussair Mazraoui and Sofyan Amrabat are among the Moroccan players known all over the world.
A strong diaspora
Many of them were born or trained in Europe, in France, the Netherlands, Belgium or Spain, and chose to play for Morocco. This mix of academies is one of the strengths of the national team.
The 2022 turning point
The historic semi-final at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar showed the world the level of Moroccan players, and big clubs now follow them closely.
