Abdelkrim Jinani takes charge of Raja Casablanca
The Moroccan football club Raja Casablanca has officially reached an agreement with national coach Abdelkrim Jinani to lead the team during the upcoming period. This decision comes as the management of the Moroccan powerhouse moves towards parting ways with Spanish coach Paco Jemez following a string of poor results and a failure to secure victories in recent matches. The final straw for Jemez was a disappointing 1-1 draw against Hassania Agadir on Wednesday at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, a fixture counting for the fifth round of the Botola Pro.
An urgent transition for the Green Eagles
Abdelkrim Jinani will assume his duties immediately to stabilize the squad in local football competitions. He is expected to guide the Green Eagles through a difficult away fixture against RS Berkane this coming Sunday, as part of the sixth round of the Botola Pro. Jinani is a familiar face for the Raja Casablanca management and supporters, having previously worked within the club's technical staff and managed it during past transitional periods, in addition to having worn the club's jersey as a player in his earlier career.
Addressing the poor run of form
The change in the technical staff highlights the urgency within the club's board to correct the course in the national championship. With pressure mounting after the recent draw against Hassania Agadir, the leadership opted for a homegrown solution to restore stability and confidence within the locker room. Jinani's deep understanding of the club's culture and environment makes him a trusted figure to handle the immediate pressure before a permanent tactical direction is established.
Next crucial fixture against RS Berkane
The ultimate test for the newly appointed coach will come swiftly this weekend. Abdelkrim Jinani and his squad will travel to face RS Berkane on Sunday in a high-stakes encounter for the sixth round of the Botola Pro, where Raja Casablanca desperately needs a strong performance to relaunch their domestic football campaign.
