Veltin transfer battle: Real Madrid and Barcelona target Stuttgart defender

German defender Josha Veltin has attracted strong interest from European giants and Premier League clubs after impressive performances in football.

Josha Veltin attracts European interest

The young German football talent Josha Veltin, a 20-year-old defender playing for the German club VfB Stuttgart, has captured the attention of several major European teams following his consistent displays on the pitch. According to reports from Sky Sports, scouts representing Spanish club Barcelona and Italian side Inter Milan were present at the UEFA Champions League match between Stuttgart and Norwegian team Viking on September 9 to closely monitor the player's abilities.

Real Madrid and Premier League clubs tracking the defender

In addition to the Catalan club and the Nerazzurri, multiple unnamed teams from the English Premier League are keeping a close eye on the youngster's development. Real Madrid has also previously been linked with the central defender as a potential future option to reinforce their defensive line. Despite this widespread attention, Veltin remains tied to VfB Stuttgart through a long-term contract, putting the German club in a strong negotiating position should any of these scouting missions turn into official bids.

Recent international recognition with Germany

The growing interest in the defender coincides with his maiden call-up to the senior German national team under the leadership of coach Jurgen Klopp. Although he had not yet made his official international debut when the initial reports emerged, he was preparing to feature in October. Experts point out that the current situation represents a broad monitoring phase rather than an intense bidding war between Spanish rivals, though competition is expected to rise if clubs decide to make formal moves.
