The CAF Champions League brings together the champions and top clubs of Africa's national leagues. After qualifying rounds, the best sides play a group stage followed by two-legged knockout ties.
Egypt's Al Ahly holds the record for titles, and Moroccan clubs such as Wydad have regularly reached the final stages. The winner represents Africa at FIFA's club competitions.
