Strong clubs in Asia
Al Hilal is the most successful club in Asian competitions, and Saudi clubs such as Al Nassr, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli are regularly among the favourites on the continent.
The Green Falcons
The national team has won the Asian Cup three times (1984, 1988, 1996) and has played in several World Cups. Its 2-1 win over Argentina in 2022 went around the world.
Big events
Saudi Arabia will host the 2027 Asian Cup and the 2034 World Cup.
