The Germany national team, nicknamed Die Mannschaft, is one of the most successful teams in football history.
Four World Cups
Germany has won the World Cup four times: 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. The 2014 title in Brazil, with its famous 7-1 win over the hosts in the semi-final, remains a landmark.
Three European titles
The Mannschaft has also won the European Championship in 1972, 1980 and 1996, and hosted Euro 2024.
Legends
Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Lothar Matthäus and Miroslav Klose, the World Cup's all-time top scorer, are among its great names.
